“I began working with Austin Fire & Flood when my house was struck by lightning, causing both exterior and interior damage. As a fairly new homeowner and a single person, I found this situation entirely new and overwhelming. I wanted to work with a company that could get the job done and provide honest, expert guidance throughout the process.
The project manager who came out was amazing; they explained everything and shared tips on navigating the insurance process, which is quite lengthy. I feel like I’m an expert in insurance claims now haha.
AFF and I negotiated with my insurance company for about five months before finalizing an estimate. Once we had a plan and a tentative timeline, AFF packed up my house and moved me out. My home required exterior siding work, new electrical work, and the replacement of some items. The interior was down to the studs.
AFF completely renovated my house (electrical, walls, flooring, fixtures, vanities, backsplash, painting, etc), and the entire process took about 13 months—from the first call to the final touch-ups. I worked with them to make some upgrades as well.
Overall, I am very satisfied with the AFF team, the rebuild team, and my main contacts. AFF was patient, knowledgeable, and really caring about the project. I will gladly call them again if another situation happens. Shout out to Robin, Jess, Danii, and Jesus!!“

“While I hope we don’t have a fire or flood event in the future, if we do, I will not hesitate to call Austin Fire and Flood – and I will wholeheartedly endorse them to anyone I know who needs their services. We are nearing completion of a substantial rebuild project after a fire and AFF has been a great partner every step of the way.
Once I chose AFF after speaking with Robin (the owner), I was confident I made the best decision. This was confirmed as I walked through the structure with the insurance adjuster and AFF, as AFF repeatedly pointed out item after item that were not on the adjuster’s radar. The fire was isolated to a small section of the structure, so I anticipated the repairs would be isolated to those areas as well. AFF pointed out extensive smoke damage citing classifications / regulations requiring the replacement of almost all the sheetrock and cabinetry in the house, as well as windows with seals broken by the heat. After that initial walk through, I was so glad I did not ask one of my contractor friends to take on the rebuild – which I am sure they could have done, but it would have been much more limited with residual damage remaining.
Since everything was being redone, we took the opportunity to make some alterations and upgrades, and AFF was great working with us and separately costing these items out. Rather than roadblocks, AFF provided alternatives and solutions when barriers came up.
All of the subcontractors have done quality work, and the AFF team personally oversees the work.
I have found all AFF personnel to be both accessible and responsive – something I can’t say about my insurance adjuster or mortgage company.
AFF has also been a great advocate for us in dealing with the insurance adjuster, explaining why costs exceeded the adjuster’s initial and revised estimates, and providing requested support.
What more can I say? 5 stars seems too low…”

Austin fire and flood were our literal saviors, in a moment of panic they gave us a lot of calm and resolve the manage the situation effectively and remediate properly.
