Please help the Austin Fire Department reach its goal of raising $30,000 to restore a 1929 American La France fire engine.
This historic engine was the second apparatus used by the Austin Fire Department and served the community from 1929 to 1952.
The motor has already been restored, and the project is now focused on completing the cosmetic aspects of the vehicle, including body work and paint. Once finished, the fire engine will be displayed in the lobby of the new Austin Fire Headquarters, where it can be enjoyed by visitors for years to come.
A placard will accompany the display to share the history of the apparatus and recognize all those who contributed toward its restoration.
Please consider giving today.
